Outreach

Isabella offers workshops for various groups of people from various contexts. The objectives will vary according to the public’s needs but there is a fundament that remains: the seek of an extra-ordinary connection between the internal and the external frontiers.

The first moment is observation. We observe what is already here, what am I being at this moment.

In this way, we slowly guide our attention and reception towards the materials that are already present in the internal and external space with the intention of conciliating with them brief unrestrained celebrations. When I talk about materials I’m referring to impulses, intentions, images, textures, sounds, etc. that have been inhabiting inside and outside ourselves since ever.

We must remember: everything is possible. What is about to happen, is already happening

AXIS

-We will be the source of our own exploration, creation and power of transformation.

-The limit: every system is configured by limits. To find a possible freedom inside the system that we inhabit (the body) and the one we conform (the societal), we will take our attention towards what is in between the limits, which is of endless possibilities. Embracing the illusion that the body is unlimited thanks to the comprehension of its limits; in this way we allow ourselves to be and to create from the possibility rather than from the restriction.

-Divisions: to blur the separation between beings, surfaces, objects, ultimately the separation between who sees and what is being seen. The intention will be to find pathways that can allow us to make bridges between contradictions and artificial divisions: flesh and spirit; the other and myself; invisible and concrete; transgression and poetics; the old me and the new me. It is about opening new channels of movement and roads for composition.

-The obvious: starting from what we could call instinct, primal impulse, intuition, we will acknowledge what lays in the surface in order to channel it and translate it into something anew. What is on the surface is not equivalent to superficial, on the contrary, it is a source of information of the intrinsic and we will play with it as such.

-Urgency, risk and desire: engaging with our personal driving forces to find comfort in risk and to listen to immediate creative desires.

-We are not here to produce content.

Intercambios

Isabella ofrece talleres para diversos grupos poblacionales. Los objetivos cambiarán de acuerdo a las necesidades del grupo, pero hay un fundamento que se mantiene: la búsqueda de una conexión extra-ordinaria de las fronteras entre lo interno y lo externo.

Para personas con experiencia en movimiento

Lo primero es observar el qué: qué es, qué soy, qué estoy siendo en estos momentos.

Así, poco a poco nuestra atención y recepción se dirigirán hacia los materiales ya presentes en el espacio exterior e interior, para conciliar con ellos pequeñas celebraciones ilimitadas. Cuando hablo de materiales, me refiero a: impulsos, intenciones, imágenes, texturas, sonidos, etc. que habitan en nuestro interior y en el exterior desde siempre. Llegar a hacer de todo eso, una celebración propia.

Recordarnos que: todo es posible. Lo que está por suceder, ya está sucediendo.

EJES

-Somos nosotres mismos, materia prima de la exploración y la creación.

-El límite: todo sistema está configurado por sus límites. Para encontrar una posible libertad dentro del sistema que habitamos (el cuerpo) y aquél que integramos (el social), portaremos nuestra atención hacia aquello que se encuentra entre los límites, es decir una inmensidad de posibilidades. Hacer verdadera la ilusión de que el cuerpo es ilimitado mediante la comprensión de sus límites. De esta manera nos permitimos ser y crear desde la posibilidad y la imaginación, no desde la restricción.

-Divisiones: difuminar la idea de separación entre seres, superficies, objetos, al final entre emisor y significado. Trabajaremos en encontrar caminos que sirvan de puentes entre contradicciones y separaciones artificiales: carne y espíritu; la otra persona y yo; lo invisible y lo concreto; la transgresión y la poética; el antiguo yo, el nuevo yo.

-Lo obvio: desde lo que pudiéramos llamar como instinto, impulso primero, intuición, entraremos en contacto con aquello que está en la superficie mas no es superficial, sino que por el contrario es verdaderamente profundo e intrínseco. Tomaremos aquello que pertenece a la superficie como puerta hacia algo más profundo y mayor.

-Urgencia, riesgo y deseo: Utilizar nuestros fuegos personales para encontrar comodidad en el riesgo y lograr escuchar nuestros deseos creativos inmediatos.

-El juego: para Isabella, la sensación del juego es una parte importante de todo proceso artístico. Así vamos a incurrir en la invención de juegos efímeros que no tienen nada significativo.
